No easter camp this year, Skills day instead. 

--19th March. Skills day at Ardnavalley.As mentioned before we are planning a Scout Skills Day at Ardnavally on from 9.30 to 4.30. We have arranged a full day of activities including;

Tent pitching and site preparation

Building using pioneering poles

Cooking a 3 course meal on open fire

Starting a fire without matches - fire lighting

First Aid

Climbing Wall

Blind Fold trangia packing and unpacking

Communication trophy

All of these events are assessed under the Belfast County Flag competition later in May when one patrol will represent us all weekend over this Belfast County competition at Crawfordsburn, camping under canvass.

We really want (need) everyone to take part to make all our hard work worthwhile as we are all giving up our time as leaders to teach the Scouts some essential skills.

The cost is £5 for the day and the Scouts needs to wear uniform, bring appropriate clothing (including rain coat) and bring their own lunch and refreshments for the day.
